Comedian, writer, and social commentator Trae Crowder brings his comedy tour to Charlotte this week. Widely known as the Liberal Redneck, he first gained international attention in 2016 with his viral political “porch rant” videos. Since then, he has written the best-selling book The Liberal Redneck Manifesto: Draggin’ Dixie Outta the Dark, toured the country multiple times with the WellRED Comedy Tour, and appeared on major platforms such as Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO), Nightline (ABC), The View, Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell (MSNBC), NPR, WTF with Marc Maron, MTV, CNN, and Huffington Post.

Crowder has written and produced digital sketches for Comedy Central, Funny or Die, Facebook, and the New York Daily News. He released his debut comedy special, Damn Boy!, in 2023, which was filmed at Zanies Nashville. He also co-wrote and produced Inherent Good, an hour-long documentary on universal basic income featuring former presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and co-hosts the podcasts WellRED, Weekly Skews, and Puttin’ On Airs.
