The Experience Hendrix Tour — the only official multi-artist celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s music — will return in 2025 with four dates in the Carolinas, including a stop in Charlotte at Ovens Auditorium on April 9. Back on stage after a five-year hiatus, the tour will feature blues guitarists Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, Eric Johnson, Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman), Samantha Fish, Noah Hunt, and Mato Nanji (of Indigenous), with surprise guests appearing throughout the tour.
Attendees can expect a three-hour concert featuring powerful renditions of Hendrix classics like “Purple Haze,””Little Wing,” and “Voodoo Child,” with each artist adding their own unique touch and interpolations to the iconic songs.
The Experience Hendrix Tour will kick off in March at Taft Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio, making stops in Durham (DPAC) on April 6, North Charleston (North Charleston Performing Arts Center) on April 8, Charlotte (Ovens Auditorium) on April 9, and Greenville, South Carolina (Peace Center Concert Hall) on April 11.
Tickets for the Experience Hendrix Tour in Charlotte at Ovens Auditorium on Wednesday, April 9 are available here.
