Update: The event organizer canceled the show shortly after it was announced by Live Nation and the venue. We’ll provide updates once a rescheduled date is confirmed.

Jodeci has announced a homecoming show in Charlotte at Ovens Auditorium on Sunday, May 31. The group — consisting of brothers Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey, Joel “JoJo” Hailey, Donald “DeVanté Swing” DeGrate, and Dalvin “Mr. Dalvin” DeGrate –formed in the Queen City in the late ’80s, blending new jack swing with sensual, gospel-rooted R&B and quickly became one of the era’s biggest vocal groups, with hit singles like “Come and Talk to Me” and “Forever My Lady” from their 1991 debut.

Their follow-up, Diary of a Mad Band, became their second No. 1 album on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts and featured contributions from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Redman, and Erick Sermon. After releasing 1995’s The Show, the After Party, the Hotel, the group took a long hiatus, returning in 2015 with The Past, the Present, the Future.

As a duo, K-Ci & JoJo also achieved massive success with hits like “All My Life” and “Crazy,” from their five studio albums, three of which went platinum.

Jodeci last performed in Charlotte during their Summer Block Party Tour with SWV and Dru Hill in 2023 and are coming off a Las Vegas residency and multiple festival appearances in 2024-25.

Artist presale for the Sunday, May 31 show at Ovens Auditorium begins Tuesday, December 16 at 10 a.m. (code: JODECI) with tickets going on sale to the public on Friday, December 19 at 10 a.m.
