Following the successful release of LaMelo Ball’s first signature sneaker in December (which sold out on the same day), Puma has released photos for the MB.01 Buzz City sneakers paying tribute to the Hornets. Co-designed by Ball, the fashionable performance basketball kicks feature Melo’s signature MB.01 logo and “1 of 1” on the tongue while the sole reveals the word “RARE,” along with another Ball catchphrase, “Not from here,” spread across the lower tongue of the sneaker.
“Puma Hoops is dropping the MB.01 Buzz City in honor of Melo launching his career with the Hornets. The MB.01 Buzz City comes in a sleek, Charlotte-inspired black and teal colorway that’s complete with space-age Puma Hoops tech, like Nitro Foam and specially engineered knit upper. They’re impossible to imitate. Melo and Puma Hoops are truly Not From Here,” Puma wrote on their official website.
The MB.01 Buzz City sneakers will be released on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10 a.m. EST and will retail for $125 on Puma.com. Puma will also be releasing a grey and red colorway along with a special Rick and Morty collaboration on February 18.
