Charlotte, North Carolina indie rock band Late Bloomer consisting of Neil Mauney, Josh Robbins, and Scott Wishart announced a date for their long-awaited album (Waiting 6/29 via 6131 Records) and released a new single “Heaven” via StereoGum today. Almost four years since Late Bloomer’s last album Things Change, the group also revealed they will be teaming up with indie producer Justin Pizzoferrato (Parquet Courts, Dinosaur Jr., Pixies) on the new album aptly titled Waiting.
Late Bloomer, some may remember, scored high praise on their last release receiving a 7.0 rating from the highly critical music publication Pitchfork in 2014.
