Charlotte’s never been known as a big New Year’s destination, but as our city grows, new and exciting events emerge each year. Whether you’re in the mood to rage and dance the night away or kick it at a low-key comedy show, there’s a little something for everyone.

Here’s a look at some New Year’s events in Charlotte:

NYE 2020 “The Grown Edition” with DJ Fatman Scoop at The Gantt

Hip-hop legend DJ “Fatman Scoop” plays a special NYE set at The Gantt hosted by Charlotte’s own Tone X. Three levels of entertainment, champagne toast, and rooftop party.

Hippie Sabotage at The Fillmore

California chill electronic music duo Hippie Sabotage play Disco Donnie and Sugar Society’s Drop It! event at The Fillmore with support from producer and multi-instrumentalist Crywolf and EDM artist Megan Hamilton.

Paint Fumes, Toward Space, Wine Pride, and Probably Will at Snug Harbor

Charlotte’s favorite little music venue in Plaza Midwood hosts their annual New Year’s Eve party. This year, Queen City indie rockers Paint Fumes headlines the event with support from Richmond’s Toward Space and locals Wine Pride and Probably Will.

The Biggest 90s Party Ever hosted by Colors at The Underground 

LA-based entertainment company, COLORS Worldwide brings their raging ’90s-themed party to the Queen City for NYE. Popular for their touring R&B Only parties across the country, the event will be a celebration of all things ’90s to close out the decade.

New Year’s Eve with Charlotte Symphony at Belk Theater 

Ring in the new year with Charlotte Symphony, featuring Strauss waltzes, light classics, and Broadway tunes topped off with George Gershwin’s jazzy piano masterpiece, “Rhapsody in Blue.” Your ticket will also include a post-concert party catered by Crave Dessert Bar with music by Robyn Springer Quartet, two drink tickets, and a midnight toast.

New Year’s Eve Coin Jam at Abari Game Bar

YFN Lucci New Years Eve Bash at World Nightclub

Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, best known for his hit “Everyday We Lit” featuring PnB Rock, will be performing at World Nightclub’s NYE bash. Hosted by Power 98’s No Limit Larry, ladies will get in until 9:30 p.m., and of course, a champagne toast at midnight.
