Here are several Raleigh-Durham area artists and musicians to support on Bandcamp

Throughout the COVID crisis, Bandcamp has proven to be one of the strongest supporters of independent artists. On March 20, Bandcamp announced that they would be waiving their share of revenue from sales and pushing those proceeds back to the artists. After their initial push netted $4.3 million in total sales, the streaming platform announced that they’d be continuing this effort on the first Fridays of each month.

While most of the nation’s industries have been put on pause amid the Covid crisis, our local artists have continued churning out groove-inducing, thought-provoking, bonafide bangers of all varieties.

Whether you choose to use music as a way to tune into new perspectives in the ever-changing world around you, or to kick back and escape the woes of reality, we’ve compiled a list from all corners of our local scene to help get you to where you need to go. Whether you’re looking for the Afrobeat-infused Latin dance stylings of Tumbao or the pensive soul-searching croons of XOXOK, the throttling alt-rock of Arson Daily or the up-tempo dance beats of Ronnie Flash, there’s something here for everyone.
