Indie R&B/neo-soul singer-songwriter Raveena Aurora will perform in North Carolina on tour for the first time, making stops in Raleigh on May 22 (Lincoln Theatre) and Charlotte on May 23 (The Underground). A Connecticut and Queens, New York City native born to Indian Punjabi parents, Raveena is known for her celestial blend of R&B, jazz, and pop.

Garnering attention with her debut EP, Shanti, in 2017 — featuring soulful tracks like “No Better” and “If Only” — she performed on platforms such as COLORS and at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in 2018.

Her debut album, Lucid, was named one of the Best Albums of 2019 by NPR, and she delivered a memorable Tiny Desk Concert later that year. Her sophomore release, Asha’s Awakening (2022) — a concept album from the perspective of a Punjabi space princess — was named one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of 2022 and featured rapper Vince Staples on the track “Secret.”

Raveena released her latest album, Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain, in June 2024, featuring the singles “Pluto” and “Lucky.” Opening for Tinashe’s North American leg of the Match My Freak: World Tour in October, she also released a short film accompanying the album.

Raveena will be joined by Bangalore, India native and London-based alternative R&B/pop artist Renao, who released his debut album, A Space Between Orange & Blue, in 2023, for all dates.

Presale for the tour will start Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. with tickets going on sale to the public Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m.
