For the past several months it seems like you can’t go more than a couple hours without someone craning their neck to exclaim that these are strange times. But they are, and sometimes the only way to express the confounding, incessant micro and systemic aggressions is to look around at the world, take a big sigh, breathe, and take in some art.

On Saturday, October 24, Goodyear Arts hosts their annual Fall Fundraiser with the aptly titled, Strange Times. Featured artists will offer a dreamy 90-minute escape, as art often allows, from living through these unprecedented times. Strange Times is the collective’s fourth immersive fundraiser following the uproarious successes of past events Mythos, Prom, and Boat. From 6:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m., groups of ten will embark on a guided walking tour of the Camp North End campus where they’ll be led to view performances and installations from local artists like de’Angelo Dia, Deb Koo, Renee Cloud, Sarah Ingel, Blaine Hurdle, Seirin Nagano, Liliya Zalevskaya, and many more. Drinks, small bites, and delightful surprises are included in your ticket price, which raises money to support Goodyear Arts’ residents and allows the non-profit to offer free to low-cost art events, in whatever strange times we may find ourselves in.
