In the wake of the passing of Adam Schlesinger, the late Fountains of Wayne songwriter who also penned the title track to the 1996 film That Thing You Do!, the cast of the movie will reunite for a special livestream watch party to benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The members of the fictional band, The Wonders including Tom Everett Scott (drummer Guy Patterson), Johnathon Schaech (lead singer Jimmy), Steve Zahn (guitarist Lenny), and Ethan Embry (bassist T.B. Player) will all participate in the community watch party. Liv Tyler who played Faye Dolan will also be joining the livestream which is sure to bring some great commentary on the beloved film about the 1960’s one-hit wonder band.

Tom Everett Scott also mentioned there will be special guests on Instagram, but the director of the film Tom Hanks has yet to be confirmed after his recovery of the coronavirus and recent appearance on the Saturday Night Live social distancing episode.

The watch party will take place on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST on The Wonder’s YouTube channel below.
