Following the release of their latest single “Victory,” and in anticipation of their new album The Third Gleam (August 28), The Avett Brothers have announced their first show in six months with a drive-in concert at Charlotte Motor Speedway on August 29.
The Avetts will perform live on the backstretch of the racing surface with the stage broadcast on Charlotte Motor Speedway’s massive 16,000-square-foot screen. Tickets will be sold per car and will be available for pre-sale on Thursday, July 16, and general public on Friday, July 17.
The third installment of The Avett Brothers Gleam series, The Third Gleam, an eight-song album will share personal experiences and perspectives on universal themes of injustice, isolation, and mortality, as well as love, redemption, and faith.
Ticket-holders will also be able to purchase a limited-edition The Third Gleam vinyl to commemorate the homecoming show.
