Canadian indie dream pop band Alvvays coming to Charlotte in May

Coming off their recent Grammy nomination, Canadian indie dream pop band, Alvvays has announced a U.S. tour coming to Charlotte on May 4 to The Underground. The Juno Award-winning group led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Molly Rankin, released their latest album, Blue Rev, in 2022, headlining Raleigh’s Hopscotch Music Festival in September.

The band’s previous albums, Alvvays in 2014 and Antisocialites in 2017, are both considered indie rock classics with songs like “Archie, Marry Me” and “Dreams Tonite.” Alvvays last performed in Charlotte in 2015 opening for The Decemberists at The Fillmore, and previously at Neighborhood Theatre in 2014.

Artist presale will take place Wednesday, December 6 at 10 a.m. (code: PHARMACIST) and tickets will go on sale to the public starting Friday, December 8 at 10 a.m.
