The sixth annual Art of Cool Festival will return to Durham on September 27-29 with the Durham Bulls Athletic Park serving as the main venue for the second year. Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Scott, Dreamville Records singer-songwriter Ari Lennox, and the legendary Run DMC will headline Art of Cool 2019.
The festival will take place in downtown Durham with a multiple venue setup that includes: Durham Armory, Motorco Music Hall, Carolina Theatre, the Pinhook and The Masonic Lodge.
In addition, recent North Carolina Hall of Fame inductee, producer, rapper and scholar 9th Wonder will be presenting a special “95 Live” set with performances by NC native and saxophonist Marcus Anderson and the classically trained string hip-hop duo, Black Violin. More national and local acts will be announced leading up to the festival.
Tickets for Art of Cool Festival 2019 go on sale May 18.
