9th Wonder, Mitch Easter, and Big Daddy Kane will be inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame

The 2019 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductees were announced tonight in Kannapolis. Susi Hamilton, N.C. Secretary of Natural and Cultural Resources announced this year’s inductees, and it’s an impressive group.

The 2019 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductees include Grammy award-winning producer and lecturer Patrick Douthit aka 9th Wonder (Winston-Salem); producer, musician and songwriter Mitch Easter (Winston-Salem); Grammy award-winning hip hop artist Big Daddy Kane (Raleigh); folk musician Elizabeth Cotten (Carrboro) and the late folk/blues guitarist Merle Watson, the son of the legendary Doc Watson.

The 2019 Induction Ceremony will take place on October 17. Learn more about the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.
