Avril Lavigne returning to Charlotte to perform her greatest hits with Simple Plan in September

Canadian pop-punk icon Avril Lavigne is returning to Charlotte for a 2024 headlining tour, coming to PNC Music Pavilion on September 1. The Grammy-nominated singer who is best known for the tracks “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” from her 2002 diamond-certified debut studio album, Let Go, will be joined by fellow Canadian rockers Simple Plan and pop-punk duo, Girlfriends.

Lavigne has released seven studio albums throughout her career, with her first three (Let Go, Under My Skin, The Best Damn Thing) earning platinum certifications, and her latest, Love Sux, released in 2022. Simple Plan, who toured with Lavigne on her first-ever tour in 2003, performed in Charlotte last year with The Offspring and Sum 41. Lavigne will play her greatest hits on this tour, according to the press release, and will also be joined by All Time Low and Royal & the Serpent on select dates.

Artist presale begins Wednesday, January 24 at 10 a.m. and tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m.
