Baby Keem has announced his long-awaited sophomore album, Ca$ino, set to be released on February 20. The album coincides with an international tour that will kick off in North Carolina with back-to-back dates in Raleigh (April 15 at The Ritz) and Charlotte (April 16 at The Fillmore). Keem — the producer, rapper, and cousin of Kendrick Lamar — released his critically acclaimed debut studio album, The Melodic Blue, in 2021, following a run of independently released EPs under his legal name, Hykeem Carter.
Breaking through with his 2019 single “Orange Soda,” Keem’s collaborations with Travis Scott (“Durag Activity”) and Lamar (“Family Ties”) further propelled his career, with “Family Ties” earning the duo a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance. Keem also produced two tracks on Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers (“N95” and “Die Hard”) and served as an opening act on the Big Steppers Tour, which stopped in Charlotte in 2022.
The album announcement was accompanied by a short documentary, and Ca$ino will be released through pgLang and Columbia Records, featuring appearances from Lamar, Too $hort, and Momo Boyd of Infinity Song. Keem will also headline the opening night of this year’s Governors Ball in New York City.
Citi cardmembers will have access to presales beginning Wednesday, February 11 at 10 a.m., followed by Cash App Card holders on Thursday, February 12 at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, February 13 at 12 p.m. (EST).
