Blumenthal Arts unveiled its 2025-26 season with an exclusive hour-long special, From Broadway to Charlotte, hosted by Kristen Miranda. The program took fans behind the scenes in New York, featuring interviews with Tony Award-winning creatives and special segments with Blumey Awards alumni.

The eight-show Broadway Lights lineup will be headlined by multiple Tony Award winners, including The Outsiders — winner of Best Musical and a gritty coming-of-age story; Suffs, a powerful tribute to American suffragists that took home Best Book and Best Original Score; Stereophonic, the five-time Tony-winning hit play with music by Will Butler (formerly of Arcade Fire), following a fictional ’70s rock band recording their breakthrough album; and Hell’s Kitchen, the Alicia Keys autobiographical musical, starring Charlotte native and Northwest School of the Arts graduate Phillip Johnson Richardson as Knuck.

The season also features Monty Python’s Spamalot, a hilarious parody of Monty Python and the Holy Grail; the sweeping romance The Notebook, based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks that inspired the hit film; Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors, a satirical twist on Bram Stoker’s classic; and The Great Gatsby, a reimagined musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic 1925 novel.

The Equitable Bravo Series will bring back beloved hits and fan favorites in a five-show package, including classics such as The Sound of Music; MJ: The Musical, the jukebox musical based on the life and music of Michael Jackson; Kinky Boots, the heartwarming story featuring music by Cyndi Lauper; Moulin Rouge! The Musical, the dazzling adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film; and & Juliet, a fresh and modern twist on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, which stars another Charlotte native Liam Pearce as Romeo.

“The season features a remarkable lineup of Tony Award-winning shows, many still running on Broadway,” said Tom Gabbard, CEO of Blumenthal Arts. “We are the only performing arts center in the region where theater lovers are able to see several of these acclaimed productions.”
