Carly Rae Jepsen, the Canadian JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter best known for her massive international pop hit “Call Me Maybe,” has announced a North American tour, coming to Charlotte’s Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on May 12.

Jepsen’s latest album, Day and Night, released in September, is her most expansive project to date, blending ’60s and ’70s folk, psychedelic pop, synth-pop and dance music. The 24-track double album has received praise for its balance of intimate songwriting with shimmering dance-pop and expansive electronic and instrumental production.

Jepsen first gained recognition as a contestant on Canadian Idol before breaking through internationally with “Call Me Maybe,” which spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts during the MTV era. The song earned two Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, while her album Kiss won Pop Album of the Year at the Juno Awards.

Her 2015 album, E•MO•TION, helped modernize ’80s-inspired synth-pop, featuring acclaimed writers and producers including Sia, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Rostam and Greg Kurstin.

Presale begins Tuesday, October 6 at 10 a.m., with tickets going on sale Thursday, October 8 at 10 a.m.
