The Clemson Tigers will play the Georgia Bulldogs in Charlotte to open 2021 college football season

The Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers will open the 2021 college football season playing at Bank of America Stadium in 2021. The game was announced Tuesday and is scheduled for September 4, 2021.

The contest will be part of a 2021 rivalry series hosted by the Charlotte Sports Foundation. The neutral-site game will also be the sixth scheduled meeting between Clemson and Georgia over the next 14 seasons.

“Thank you to Georgia and the Charlotte Sports Foundation for helping make this game a reality,” Clemson Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said through a press release. “Kicking off the 2021 season with this match-up will be a tremendous showcase for both universities and our fans. UGA is a great football program and we know that Charlotte will provide a first-class experience for everyone involved.”
