Deftones, the Grammy Award-winning Sacramento alternative metal band, have announced a North American tour, making a stop in Charlotte for the first time in over seven years on March 24 (Spectrum Center) with progressive post-hardcore rockers, The Mars Volta, and Boston nu-gaze band, Fleshwater.

The announcement follows a busy year for the Deftones following performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Primavera Sound. Best known for their albums Adrenaline (1995), Around the Fur (1997), White Pony (2000), and their self-titled 2003 album; all of which were platinum or gold certified, the band released their latest, Ohms, in 2020. Prior to the 2025 tour, the band will also headline their own annual Dia De Los Deftones festival in San Diego, joined by Idles, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Health.

El Paso experimental rock pioneers, The Mars Volta, will perform in Charlotte for the first time since 2009, following their reunion after a decade of public inactivity. The band released a self-titled album in 2022 with an acoustic re-recording, Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazón, in 2023.

Fleshwater, a nu-metal/shoegaze band formed by vocalist and guitarist Anthony DiDio and drummer Matt Wood (members of Vein.fm) with lead vocalist Marisa Shirar and bassist Jeremy Martin (also a member of Vein.fm), are coming off the release of their 2023 album, Sounds of Grieving.

Presale for the tour will start on Wednesday, September 18 at 10 a.m. (code: SWERVE) with tickets going on sale to the public Friday, September 20 at 10 a.m.
