Dreamville Fest will return to Raleigh’s historic Dorothea Dix Park for its fifth and final edition on April 5-6. The final year of the festival in North Carolina will be headlined by Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, Tems, and J. Cole, along with 21 Savage, PartyNextDoor, Ludacris, GloRilla, Wale, Coco Jones, Ab-Soul, Chief Keef, J.I.D, and the return of Ari Lennox, who missed last year’s festival.
The festival’s organizers announced in December that this will be the fifth and final iteration of the festival. Last year, Dreamville Fest had an estimated $145 million economic impact, with over 104,000 attendees over the two-day event, which featured more than 75 vendors, food trucks, artisans, and muralists spread across the festival grounds. While the festival was a financial success, there were multiple audio issues throughout the weekend that will hopefully be resolved for the final year.
Curated by Fayetteville native J. Cole, Dreamville Fest has become one of the largest artist-led festivals in the world since its launch in 2018, attracting attendees from all 50 U.S. states and more than 20 countries across four continents. Originally announced in 2018 and scheduled for September of that year, the inaugural festival was postponed until April 2019 due to Hurricane Florence, becoming an immediate success. After skipping 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the festival made a triumphant return in 2022, expanding to two days.
In addition to the music, the festival features a Ferris wheel, multiple art installations, local vendors, and free events and programming taking place across Downtown Raleigh leading up to the festival.
