Canadian pop-punk star Avril Lavigne will bring her 2024 tour to Charlotte this week performing her greatest hits. The Grammy-nominated singer who is best known for the tracks “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” from her 2002 diamond-certified debut studio album, Let Go, will be joined by fellow Canadian rockers Simple Plan and pop-punk duo, Girlfriends. Lavigne has released seven studio albums throughout her career, with her first three (Let Go, Under My Skin, The Best Damn Thing) earning platinum certifications, and her latest, Love Sux, released in 2022.
Simple Plan, who accompanied Lavigne on her first-ever tour in 2003, will perform their collection of 2000s pop-punks hits like “Welcome To My Life” and “I’m Just A Kid.” The band has released six studio albums with their latest, Harder Than It Looks, in 2022.
Girlfriends are a pop-punk duo consisting of singer-songwriter and guitarist Travis Mills and drummer Nick Gross, best known for their “California” and “Jessica” from their debut self-titled album released in 2020.
