His music has been sampled on classic hip-hop tracks like Ghostface Killah’s “Daytona 500” and Warren G’s “Regulate.” In addition, artists like Run-D.M.C., Gang Starr, Public Enemy, Missy Elliot, A Tribe Called Quest, and Slick Rick have all sampled James.
