Bruce Hornsby is a prolific singer-songwriter and pianist best known for his song, “The Way It Is,” from his 1987 album of the same name that earned him a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The song was even further popularized by Tupac Shakur’s “Changes,” which sampled the instrumentals and adopted its themes.
Hornsby has collaborated with numerous artists, including Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Don Henley, Ricky Skaggs, Mavis Staples, and more recently Bon Iver and Butcher Brown. He was also a part-time member of the Grateful Dead from 1990 to 1992, performing over 100 concerts with the band. A 13-time Grammy nominee, he has sold over 11 million albums worldwide, releasing 23 albums to date. This tour will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Spirit Trail, Hornsby’s sixth studio album released in 1998.
