Grammy-nominated indie pop/rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Caroline Rose will play an intimate show at The Evening Muse this week. Emerging with a folk and country-inspired sound on her 2013 debut album, America Religious, Rose later transitioned to a synth-driven indie pop style with Loner (2018) and Superstar (2020), both released through New West Records.
Her 2023 album, The Art of Forgetting, is a deeply personal and sonically rich exploration with elements of art-pop, folk, and electronic music, in which she copes with heartbreak, loss, and self-discovery. Rose, who directed the artwork for the project, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package for the album. Her latest, Year of the Slug, was released on February 7, exclusively through Bandcamp and vinyl.
