Charlotte Film Festival returns this week for its 16th year celebrating independent cinema from around the world. Hosted at Independent Picture House, this year’s festival will feature over 100 films, including selections from 12 different countries with a diverse array of genres, showcasing everything from feature films to documentaries to animated shorts.
With their motto “Discover Different,” the festival emphasizes films that explore themes of human resilience and creativity, championing unique voices and diverse cultural perspectives. The festival is also committed to emerging filmmakers by providing a public platform for their work with juried competition awards across multiple categories, including a social justice award.
Tickets are available for individual films or in packs of five and 10. Attendees can use these packs to bring friends or attend multiple screenings.
