Coming off their fifth straight loss, this time against the league’s worst team, the Washington Wizards, the Hornets will look to bounce back against the Milwaukee Bucks. Miles Bridges posted the first triple-double of his career in the 124-114 loss to the Wizards, while Nick Smith Jr. also scored a career-high 24 points. The Hornets continue to battle through injuries, with LaMelo Ball (ankle), Cody Martin (sports hernia), and Josh Okogie (hamstring) all ruled out for Wednesday’s game. Vasilije Micic is listed as questionable due to ankle soreness.
The Bucks have also been struggling lately, losing their last four games and five of their past six. Despite these recent losses, Giannis Antetokounmpo earned Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors, averaging 30.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 60% from the field during January. Nine-time All-Star guard Damian Lillard, who is averaging 25 points and 7.3 assists per game this season, is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game with a groin injury. Antetokounmpo, who missed Monday night’s game against Oklahoma City due to patella tendinopathy, is also questionable.
