Raleigh Americana/bluegrass band Chatham County Line returns to Charlotte this week for Confluence with Triangle area alt-country rockers Sarah Shook & The Disarmers.
Consisting of members Dave Wilson (vocals, guitar), John Teer (mandolin, fiddle), and Greg Readling (pedal steel, bass), are coming off their 10th studio album, Hiyo, released in January. Signed to Hillsborough, North Carolina’s Yep Roc Records, their 2020 album featured Sharon Van Etten on the title track, “Strange Fascination.”
Sarah Shook & The Disarmers are coming off their latest album, Revelations, in March through Thirty Tigers. Known for their outlaw country-punk sound, Shook explores themes of mental health and introspection with their music, pairing it with a twangy Southern rock style. Shook also fronts the indie rock band, Mightmare, who released their debut album, Cruel Liars, in 2022 though indie label Kill Rock Stars.
