Cults are an indie dream pop band from New York City consisting of guitarist Brian Oblivion and singer-songwriter Madeline Follin. The duo released their self-titled debut album in 2011 featuring the popular track “Go Outside,” “You Know What I Mean,” and “Bad Things,” which was sampled by J. Cole for his 2013 single, “She Knows.” Their follow-up release, Static, featured their biggest hit, “Always Forever,” which was certified platinum in 2022. Cults recently released a new album, To the Ghosts, in July.
