Following the release of her latest studio album, Underdressed at the Symphony, Faye Webster will return to Charlotte this week. Blending elements of rock, folk, alt-country, and pop, the Atlanta singer-songwriter and musician released her self-titled album through indie label Secretly Canadian in 2017, breaking through with 2019’s Atlanta Millionaires Club, featuring the songs “Kingston” and “Right Side of My Neck.” 2021’s I Know I’m Funny Haha further cemented Webster as a rising star in the indie rock scene with songs like “In a Good Way,” “Better Distractions,” and the title track, “I Know I’m Funny Haha.”
Webster’s latest album, Underdressed at the Symphony, is a contemplative exploration of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection, with indie rock, modern country, and R&B sensibilities, complemented by her distinctive wispy vocals and sentimental lyrics. The album also features Lil Yachty on the track, “Lego Ring.” Webster has experienced an incredible surge in streams this year brought on by the popularity of her songs “Kingston” and “I Know You” on TikTok.
Richmond, Virginia-based indie pop/rock singer-songwriter Benét will open the show. Benét’s debut album, Can I go again?, was released in September through Bayonet Records.
