Virginia alternative rock duo Illiterate Light returns to Charlotte’s Snug Harbor this week. Consisting of Jeff Gorman (vocals, guitar, synths) and Jake Cochran (drums, vocals), the band is coming off the release of their third studio album, Arches, in November through Red Book Records/Thirty Tigers. They have performed at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Newport Folk Festival, and have toured with Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Shakey Graves, and The Head and the Heart.
Once Below Joy is an alternative progressive rock band from Charlotte, consisting of members Austin Collins (guitar), Jesse Griesman (guitar, vocals), Skylar Wade (bass), and Wyatt Fregerio (drums, vocals). The band released their debut album, Through The Fog, in 2023, and their latest single, “Texas Toast,” in July 2024.
