Imarhan is an Algerian Tuareg rock band who has released three albums to date: Imarhan (2016), Temet (2018), and Aboogi (2022). The band will tour North America for the first time since 2018, supporting their new album Aboogi, released January 28, 2022 on City Slang. The album was recorded at a studio of the same name that Imarhan built in the desert, the first in the region.
“Aboogi reflects the colors of Tamanrasset, what we experience in everyday life,” said bandleader Iyad Moussa Ben Abderahmane. “We give space to the wind and the natural energies, to the sun and the sand. We want to express their colors through music.”
