Pakistani-American comedian, actor, and writer, Kumail Nanjiani, will be in Charlotte for a sold-out stand-up show at The Fillmore this week. Best known for his role as Dinesh Chugtai in the HBO comedy series, Silicon Valley, he also co-wrote and starred in the romantic comedy, The Big Sick, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. In 2018, Time magazine named Nanjiani one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
