Coming off the release of his second studio album, God Said No, soulful alternative R&B singer-songwriter and musician Omar Apollo will perform in Charlotte this week. Apollo’s debut studio album, Ivory, released in 2022, earned him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
God Said No features 14-tracks recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London inspired by poets Mary Oliver, Victoria Chang, and Ocean Vuong. Apollo was also the opening act for SZA’s SOS Tour in 2023, and has performed at Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits.
Malcolm Todd is an alternative R&B singer-songwriter and producer from Santa Monica, who released his debut album, Sweet Boy, on April 5 through Columbia Records.
