The world-renowned Preservation Hall All-Stars return to Charlotte for two special Jazz Room holiday shows at Booth Playhouse this week. The collection of esteemed musicians will perform holiday favorites with their traditional New Orleans jazz twist, benefiting the JazzArts Academy with a pre-concert reception and silent auction

Founded in 1961 by tuba player Allan Jaffe to honor New Orleans jazz, Preservation Hall operates as a venue, a band, non-profit organization, and a beacon for New Orleans music and culture.

The Preservation Hall All-Stars are the premiere ensemble of tenured artists from the Preservation Hall musical collective. Each musician bears a connection to the earliest practitioners of jazz, some by bloodline, and all united by the musical tradition. These master musicians have learned the traditional style from the greats that played before them at Preservation Hall.
