Primus, formed in El Sobrante, California in 1984, is an alternative rock band known for their distinctive blend of funk, metal, and progressive rock, fronted by Les Claypool (bass, vocals) with Larry LaLonde (guitar) and Tim  Alexander (drums). Their 1991 major-label debut, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, brought mainstream success with hits like “Jerry Was a Race Car Driver,” and their follow-up albums Pork Soda (1993) and Tales from the Punchbowl (1995) continued their success, with hits like “My Name Is Mud” and “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver.”

Coheed and Cambria is a progressive rock band from Nyack, New York, formed in 1995, consisting of Claudio Sanchez (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Travis Stever (guitars, vocals), Josh Eppard (drums, keyboards), and Zach Cooper (bas). Known for their fusion of progressive rock, pop, heavy metal, and post-hardcore, Coheed and Cambria’s music is largely based on The Amory Wars, a science fiction storyline created by Sanchez, which has also been adapted into comic books and a novel.

The band has released ten studio albums, three live albums, and several special editions, with six albums reaching the Billboard Top 10. Their tenth studio album, Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind, was released in 2022.
