Sneakers, formed in 1976 in Winston-Salem by Chris Stamey, Mitch Easter, Rob Slater, Will Rigby, and Robert Keely, was pivotal in the evolution of power pop and indie rock in North Carolina. Stamey and Rigby would go on to form The dB’s and Easter would go on to start Let’s Active. This summer, Easter, Stamey, and Rigby will reunite for select dates, joined by Gene Holder from The dB’s.
The Eyebrows are an indie rock/power pop band from Charlotte comprised of singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jay Garrigan, bassist and vocalist Darrin Gray, and drummer Shawn Lynch. The band has released two studio albums (Volume in 2018 and Fight/Flight in 2021) with two new singles in 2024: “Say Yeah!” and “Double Take.”
