Asheville bluegrass band Town Mountain returns to Charlotte this week for a performance at Neighborhood Theatre. Known for their blend of traditional Appalachian roots with honky-tonk, outlaw country, and rock, the band consists of Jesse Langlais (banjo, vocals), Bobby Britt (fiddle), Zach Smith (bass), Phil Barker (mandolin, vocals), and Miles Miller (guitar, vocals). Since forming in the mid-2000s, the band has released multiple albums, including Heroes & Heretics (2008), Leave the Bottle (2012), and Southern Crescent (2016). Their 2018 album, New Freedom Blues, featured Tyler Childers on the track “Down Low,” and their 2022 release, Lines in the Levee, showcased their continued evolution while staying true to their roots.

Caleb Caudle is an Americana singer-songwriter and musician from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He began his career in the early 2000s and has released multiple albums, including Paint Another Layer on My Heart (2014), Carolina Ghost (2016), Crushed Coins (2018), and Better Hurry Up (2020). His 2022 album, Forsythia, was produced by John Carter Cash and recorded at the Cash Cabin, featuring an impressive lineup of musicians, including Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, and Carlene Carter.
