Yussef Dayes is a South London-raised producer, composer and jazz drummer best known for his collaborative album, What Kinda Music, with fellow UK singer-songwriter and guitarist Tom Misch, released through Blue Note Records. Dayes released his debut solo album, Black Classical Music, on September 8, 2023 through Nonesuch Records, featuring Shabaka Hutchings, Tom Misch, Chronixx, Masego, Jahaan Sweet, and Leon Thomas. The album has received critical praise for its complex psychedelic jazz/soul stylings.
