Coming off the release of his latest collaborative album (Alfredo 2) and tour with producer The Alchemist, Freddie Gibbs has announced a solo headlining run, making his return to Charlotte for the first time since 2019. The Grammy-nominated rapper has built one of the most prolific catalogs in modern hip-hop, earning critical acclaim for collaborative projects like Piñata (2014) and Bandana (2019) with Madlib, the Alfredo albums with The Alchemist, and Fetti with Curren$y in 2018.
His 2022 release, $oul $old $eparately, marked his highest-charting solo album to date, reinforcing his success outside traditional industry pipelines. Gibbs was signed to Interscope Records early in his career, later joining Young Jeezy’s CTE World in 2011, where he released a series of notable mixtapes before parting ways and going fully independent. He was also featured on the remix of Leon Thomas’ “Mutt,” which recently won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. Gibbs released his sixth solo studio album, You Only Die 1nce, in November 2024.
Artist presale starts on Tuesday, February 3 at 10 a.m. with tickets going on sale to the general public on Friday, February 6 at 10 a.m.
