Japanese Breakfast, the indie pop band fronted by Korean-American singer-songwriter, musician and author, Michelle Zauner, has announced a new album and tour in 2025. The band’s fourth studio album, For Melancholy Brunettes (and Sad Women), set to be released on March 21 through Dead Oceans, follows 2021’s Jubilee, which received a nomination for Best Alternative Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Produced by Blake Mills (Perfume Genius, Bob Dylan, Weyes Blood), the band also released a new single, “Orlando in Love,” from the forthcoming album.

Zauner, whose 2021 memoir, Crying in H Mart, spent several weeks on The New York Times hardcover non-fiction bestseller list, was also named one of Time Magazine‘s most influential people in 2022. Getting her start in music with Philadelphia emo rock band, Little Big League, who were signed to Tiny Engines and Run for Cover Records, Zauner started Japanese Breakfast in 2013, releasing the debut project, Psychopomp, in 2016.

Japanese Breakfast last performed in North Carolina in 2023 at Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh. The band will kick off the tour at Coachella and make their only Carolina stop in Charlotte at The Fillmore on Sunday, April 27.

Citi Card members will have the first opportunity for tickets on Wednesday, January 8 at 8:00 a.m. with the public onsale beginning Friday, January 10 at 10 a.m.
