With Election Day fast approaching, Vice President Kamala Harris and actor Kerry Washington will host a campaign rally and concert in Charlotte featuring performances by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jon Bon Jovi, R&B star Khalid, country artist Britney Spencer, and husband and wife Americana/soul duo, The War and Treaty.
The event will take place this Saturday, November 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Charlotte at PNC Music Pavilion (707 Pavilion Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28262).
Bon Jovi, who has long been a supporter of the Democratic party, performed in Charlotte back in 2016 at a campaign rally in support of Hillary Clinton. Khalid, who is best known for his hits such as “Better,” “OTW,” and “Location,” is coming off the release of his third studio album, Sincere, in August.
Rising country artist Brittney Spencer, who collaborated with Beyonce on Cowboy Carter, is coming off the release of her debut studio album, My Stupid Life, in January through Elektra Records. Michael and Tanya Trotter of Americana band, The War and Treaty, were nominated for Best New Artist at the 66th Grammy Awards, and released their latest album, Lover’s Game, in 2023.
“These artists and public figures are trusted voices for millions of Americans, who listen to their music, follow them on social media, or otherwise are inspired by them,” the Harris-Walz campaign communicated through a press release. “Using their voices to lay out the stakes of this election, it will further encourage and mobilize people to go vote.”
You can RSVP for the campaign event here or text GO to 30330 for more info.
