It’s still hard to believe Panthers All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly announced his retirement back on January 14, 2020. The Panthers defense hasn’t been the same since. A former Defensive Player of the Year, seven-time Pro Bowler, and five-time first-team All-Pro, Kuechly’s commitment to the game and athletic ability made him one of the best middle linebackers in recent NFL history.
While his humble off-field demeanor was Clark Kent-like, on the field, he was nothing short of a superhero. During his eight-year career, no linebacker recorded more tackles, pass breakups, and interceptions than Kuechly.
NFL Films, the film production company of the National Football League, released a 12-minute tribute to the Panthers legend (now team scout), detailing his diligence over his stellar career.
The video will make you want to shout Luuuuuke, one more time.
