Coming off the announcement of his second studio album, God Said No, set to be released on June 28, soulful alternative R&B singer-songwriter and musician Omar Apollo has announced an international tour that will make stops in Charlotte and Raleigh. Coming off his debut studio album, Ivory, in 2022, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, Apollo has also release three singles (“Spite”, “Dispose of Me,” and “Less Of You”) from his forthcoming album.

Apollo’s upcoming 14-track sophomore release was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London inspired by poets Mary Oliver, Victoria Chang, and Ocean Vuong. He was the opening act for SZA’s SOS Tour in 2023, and has also performed at Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits.

Supported by Los Angeles singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Malcom Todd in Charlotte and Raleigh, Kevin Abstract and Ravyn Lenae will also open Apollo on select dates. Kicking off in July in Australia, the tour will stop in Raleigh on September 11 at Red Hat Amphitheater and Charlotte on September 13 at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre.

Presale will begin Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. (code: DISHAHOT2024) and tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m.
