On Friday, February 28, Charlotte-based indie garage-rock band Paint Fumes posted on Facebook that their tour van had been broken into, and several items have been stolen while on their European tour traveling through Barcelona. The group, fronted by Elijah Von Cramon have been making noise in the garage rock scene since the release of their 2012 album Uck Life, on Slovenly Recordings.
Among some of the items that were apparently stolen were guitars, amps, cymbals, tablets, and merchandise. All essential items for a touring rock band outside of their own country. The tour kicked off in Germany on February 21 and is set to run through March ending in Berlin. The band is adamant about pushing through despite the unfortunate circumstances, and have set up a GoFundMe campaign to recoup the cost of rental equipment and the valuables that have been stolen.
You can contribute to the GoFundMe campaign for Paint Fumes here and follow the band on Instagram and Facebook.
