Playboi Carti has announced a tour, coming to Charlotte and Raleigh

Rapper Playboi Carti has announced a 2023 tour, coming to Charlotte on January 8 (Spectrum Center) and Raleigh (January 9) and with Opium/Interscope labelmates Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson, and Homixide Gang. Carti is expected to be releasing a new album this year with the tour set to kick off in Denver in September, finishing up overseas in Copenhagen at the end of the year. Carti recently performed a new song “Pop Out” at Wireless Festival which is expected to be on his upcoming album.

Carson’s most recent studio album, X, landed him a spot on the Billboard 200, and Destroy Lonely released his debut album, If Looks Could Kill, which reached No.1 on Apple Music.

Atlanta rapper, Playboi Carti (born Jordan Terrell Carter) was arrested in December after allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend, according to Complex. Carti’s attorney Brian Steel released a statement in regard to the arrest:

“Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney‘s Office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”

Presale for the tour begins Thursday, July 13 at 12 p.m. and tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 14 at 12 p.m.
