The U.S. National Whitewater Center will reopen with limited activities

The U.S. National Whitewater Center has announced pursuant to Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order 138 issued on May 5, 2020, the outdoor center will resume a few limited activities beginning Saturday, May 9, 2020. Among the limited activities included are mountain biking, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, and whitewater kayaking. The market, Airstream, retail store, and food truck will be available for to-go orders only,  and trails will also be accessible to the public subject to weather conditions.

All activities and locations will have very limited capacities and guests will have to adhere to social distancing requirements per CDC guidelines. Check the USNWC calendar for hours of operation and the activity schedule.
