Alternative metal rockers Tool have announced new tour dates, including Charlotte on January 21 at Spectrum Center. Known for their creative stage and sound production, led by singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Maynard James Keenan (who also fronts A Perfect Circle and Puscifer), Tool kicked off their fall tour this month, adding winter dates with progressive metal band, Elder.

Tool’s latest album in 2019, Fear Inoculum, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200, earning critical praise. Last year, they released “Opiate2,” an extended version of the 1992 EP’s title track with an accompanying short film. Tool last performed in Charlotte in 2016 at Bojangles’ Coliseum, postponing their April 2020 scheduled tour stop due to the pandemic.

The Tool Army presale begins Wednesday, October 11 at 10 a.m. and tickets go on sale to the public Friday, October 13 at 10 a.m.
