Country star Tyler Childers has announced new U.S. tour dates in 2025 that will make stops in Raleigh (Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek on April 15) and Charlotte (PNC Music Pavilion on April 16). The Kentucky singer-songwriter and musician who broke out in 2017 with his second studio album, Purgatory (produced by Sturgill Simpson and David R. Ferguson), featuring the hit song, “Feathered Indians,” topped the country charts with his 2019 album, Country Squire, which included the Grammy nominated “All Your’n.” Childers is coming off the release of his latest album, Rustin’ in the Rain, in 2023.
He’ll be joined by alternative folk rockers Deer Tick for both Charlotte and Raleigh dates, who are best known for their songs “Twenty Miles” and “Baltimore Blues No. 1.” The band, led by singer-songwriter and guitarist John McCauley, released a new album, Contractual Obligations, in July through ATO Records, last performing in Charlotte back in 2018 for Tuck Fest at Whitewater Center.
Wynonna Judd, Charley Crockett, Robert Earl Keen, The Hold Steady, Medium Build, Hayes Carll, S.G. Goodman, Cory Branan and SOMA will join Childers on other dates throughout the 20-plus city tour run.
The artist presale will begin Tuesday, November 19 at 10 a.m. with tickets going on sale to the public Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. Childers, whose concerts often sell out, will be using the Face Value Exchange so resellers will not be able to charge more than the original price of the tickets.
