Following the release of her third studio album, Vacancy, in January, R&B queen Ari Lennox has announced her biggest solo headlining tour to date, stopping in Raleigh on June 3 (The Ritz) and culminating in Charlotte at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 6.

A DMV native, Lennox signed to Dreamville Records in December 2015 and released her debut EP, Pho, in 2016, briefly living in Charlotte before her music career took off. Charlotte native and R&B/neo-soul singer-songwriter Dexter Jordan also tours with Lennox as a backup singer, alongside Blanche J, who lived in the city before relocating to Dallas. Lennox performed at UNC Charlotte’s school-year kick-off party in 2019 shortly after the release of her debut studio album, Shea Butter Baby, so the connections with the Queen City run deep.

Vacancy marks a new chapter in Lennox’s career, blending lush, late-night R&B grooves with jazz and ’90s/early‑2000s soul influences, while the track “Company” featuring Buju Banton adds a dancehall and reggae flair. Standout tracks like “Cool Down” and “Twin Flame” showcase her patented blend of playful sensuality and introspective lyricism, while “Under the Moon,” produced by longtime collaborator Elite (“Whipped Cream,” “Shea Butter Baby,” “BMO”), envelops listeners in a dreamy, intimate soundscape.

The 31-city North American tour kicks off in Seattle, with stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Toronto, and Brooklyn, before stopping in Raleigh on June 3 and wrapping up in Charlotte on Saturday, June 6.

Presale begins Tuesday, February 3 at 10 a.m. with tickets going on sale to the public on Friday, February 6 at 10 a.m. We’re also giving away two tickets to the Charlotte show on Instagram!
